We were really excited to be able to deliver the first lot of our emergency toiletry bags to the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM)Unit at the Gold Coast. The MFM unit care for women who receive a poor or fatal diagnosis in pregnancy, they also provide care to extreme risk pregnancies.

We were delighted to be asked by the Gold Coast MFM Unit to supply Women who live out of catchment, and travel for hours to their appointment, who are then admitted unexpectedly due to complications with a toiletry bag. For some Women it can be days before friends or family can visit due to the lengthy travel.

We were overwhelmed with the response of our beautiful community who have gotten behind us and have made massive donations of toiletry items. We will be accepting toiletry item donations as an ongoing appeal. If you would like to help support this cause we are seeking the following items,

Women’s underwear (Full briefs of various sizes)                                                                                                               Maternity Pads,                                                                                                                                                                       toothpaste,                                                                                                                                                                                 toothbrushes,                                                                                                                                                                                      hair brushes,                                                                                                                                                                                        soap,                                                                                                                                                                                                  deodorant,

We do ask that you purchase travel size items as our toiletry bags are restricted. We have received a very kind and generous donation of shampoo and Conditioner from an amazing company and therefore we have urgency on the above list of items. We would like to extend this project to supply all MFM units within Queensland with these emergency toiletry bags, and eventually all of Australia.
